Denis has work experience at in the telecommunications and IT service industry through employment at SaskTel since 2003. In 2007 Denis joined the professional services team, working in several different roles including design, implementation, and support for Cisco collaboration, contact centre, network, and data centre solutions. He has provided consulting in a variety of industry verticals, including financial, healthcare, education, retail, mining and agriculture. In 2013, Denis took on a technical leadership role providing technical leadership to the professional services delivery and operations team; this includes mentoring, training, and assistance in resolving complex technical issues. Denis collaborates with SaskTel and Cisco sales teams, providing technical input for customer planning, sales proposals, and RFP responses.

In 2018 Denis earned a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification in Routing and Switching (renamed to Enterprise Infrastructure). In 2020 Denis was one of the first 500 people worldwide to earn a Cisco DevNet certification, earning the Cisco DevNet 500 badge, and joining the Cisco DevNet class of 2020.
